Before the transfer
Check the manufacturer’s exact model and the provider’s supported activation route. A handset may support eSIM but still require a new provider-issued profile. Arrange Wi-Fi and ensure you can access the account without relying exclusively on texts to the line being moved.
During installation
Use the current official instructions. Label personal, business and travel lines clearly. Choose which one supplies calls and which one supplies data, and review automatic switching if the phone offers it. Keep activation codes private.
After installation
Test incoming voice, outgoing voice, text messages and ordinary mobile data. A profile visible in settings is not proof that all services have finished activating. If the number was also transferred between providers, allow for the official transfer process and report partial failures precisely.
If it fails
Record the error and consult the provider before deleting profiles. Some setup information cannot be reused. A lost phone requires a security response through the provider, not simply another installation attempt. This website cannot issue SIM replacements or access a subscriber account.
